Have Questions?
We know estate sales can feel overwhelming — that’s why we’ve answered some of the most common questions our clients ask. Here’s everything you need to know before getting started.
Frequently asked questions
We accept antiques, collectibles, fine art, furniture, jewelry, tools, vehicles, personal and general household goods. Our team will assess your items to determine which are suitable for auction.
Most estate auctions are completed within 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the size and contents of the estate.
There is a booking fee to reserve the time to catalog the estate. This fee also covers the administrative and advertising cost associated with the auction. Additionally, our standard sales commission is 40% of the final (hammer) sale price applied to each lot. Additional services like clean-out, hauling, dumpster rental or disposal costs are discussed up front and only applied if necessary. There are no surprise fees.
Just remove personal documents or keepsakes. We handle the rest—sorting, staging, photographing, selling and pickup.
We offer 100% online only auctions. Online auctions reach a broader audience, and since we offer in-house shipping services the target audience is significantly greater. Previews are handled on a case-by-case basis depending on the desires of clients. If a preview is offered members of our team are present to monitor the flow.
We offer options such as placement in one of our future monthly general online auctions, donation, disposal, or returning items to you. We'll recommend the best approach during our post-auction review.
The State of New Hampshire does not require licenses for online auctions; however, we are fully bonded and insured, and we take pride in treating each estate with professionalism and care. Word of mouth advertising is our best advertising, so we go the extra mile to ensure our clients are satisfied.
Proceeds are issued via check along with a full itemized settlement statement. Payment is typically mailed or available for pickup 10 business days after the auction concludes.
